Join us at steps of Parliament House on Macquarie Street tomorrow (15th February) at 10.45am to handover our 'Build the GreenWay Now' petition to the Minster for Transport Gladys Berejiklian. The 4 local state MPs, the 4 Mayors and the Friends of the GreenWay will be present to handover the petition signed by more than 10,500 people who recognise the importance of the GreenWay in connecting people, places and communities. We have a once in a generation opportunity to build the GreenWay. This opportunity can not be lost. Kind regards
On Wednesday 15th February 2012 local community groups, lead by Friends of the GreenWay and Mayors from Ashfield, Canterbury, Leichhardt and Marrickville Councils, convened at NSW Parliament house to present Sydney inner west MPs Carmel Tebbutt, Linda Burney, Jamie Parker and Charles Casuscelli with a petition holding 10,500 signatures backing the GreenWay project.
Come along to a fun day out and ride the GreenWay trail. This event is being organised by the Friends of the GreenWay community group to attract new volunteers to assist with its campaign to have the GreenWay shared pathway built as part of the Inner West Light Rail Extension. Participants will be riding the GreenWay corridor from Sydney Harbour to the Cooks River and having lunch together afterwards.
