Following the hugely successful third GreenWay Arts Exhibition we are pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 GreenWay Arts Exhibition and Prize as follows:
First prize David Watson Floor Waste. David receives a GreenWay cash prize of $500 and a 2 week exhibition at Art Est. Gallery valued at $1000.
Runner up Sandra Winkworth Greenway - a Basic Requirement. Sandra receive a cash prize of $250 and a $250 Derivan voucher.
Macquarie University have recently completed a three year research project focused on the governance of the GreenWay, a shared asset. The team from Macquarie, led by Jenny George from the Graduate School of the Environment, have worked with GreenWay Sustainability Project, Council and community representatives to develop a range of governance options that are consistent with the GreenWay's sustainability objectives.

Councils are currently finalising the implementation and funding for the new governance model. The current proposal is to fund a Place Manager for an initial 12 month period during 2012-2013.
The GreenWay Primary School Sustainability Program is now an accredited NSW Department of Education and Training (DET) teachers training course that can be used across the state.
The accredited NSW Institute of Teachers course has been adapted so it can used outside of the GreenWay catchment with an emphasises on outdoor learning and experience-based learning as a way of connecting students with their local environment and promoting student engagement and enhanced learning outcomes.

of the third GreenWay Arts Exhibition at Art Est.Gallery from 21-26 June, with the official opening on Thursday 21 June 6-8pm.
We invite local artists to contribute new art work with a brief that relates to the GreenWay themes of urban sustainability, the natural environment and active transport.

The GreenWay Sustainability Project is pleased to report that the interpretive Bushcare signs have now been installed at five of the six Bushcare sites in the GreenWay corridor.
