The grants provide financial assistance for innovative, creative and sustainable initiatives that support and develop the local community. GreenWay vision closer to reality

GreenWay Signage Jul 2013 005The GreenWay vision is closer to becoming a reality following an announcement by the The Inner West Council that the State Government has given a $7 million  funding commitment for the GreenWay.  The Inner West Council has has promised to match the funding with an additional $7 million.

This is great news for the GreenWay vision to complete the missing links along the urban green corridor in Sydney's inner west.

The funding announcement follows a meeting with the Minister for Transport Andrew Constance in April involving local MPs John Sidoti, Jo Haylen, Jamie Parker and Jenny Leong, (then) Ashfield (now Inner West) General Manager Vanessa Chan and GreenWay Place Manager Nick Chapman.  Read the full statement from the Inner West Council here.
