Students to travel for free on Light Rail

Canterbury PS walk 2 10 - 7 May 15The GreenWay has welcomed recent news from the Minister for Transport, Andrew Constance MP that school students will soon be able to travel on the Light Rail for free. From 1 July students will be able to apply online for the School Opal card for travel on the light rail and will then be able to start travelling for free to and from school from the start of the third school term, which is fantastic news for families living along the Light Rail corridor. It will help address traffic congestion on our roads and reinforces the role of the GreenWay/light rail as a 21st century sustainable transport corridor serving the needs of the Inner West.
